Meet Mike Humphries, the CEO of SparkEffect. 

Mike’s practical, down-to-earth guidance and perspective have been an invaluable asset in his many leadership roles. Mike’s extensive credentials and passion for his work are integral parts of his ability to be a problem-solver and sift through any challenges.  

Mike joined SparkEffect (formerly Waldron) in 2001 as a successful entrepreneur and experienced business executive. His knowledge of finance, technology, and administration, coupled with his deep devotion to charity and the social sector, have made him a perfect partner for both enterprise and nonprofit heads. Besides his consulting work for SparkEffect, Mike has served on the boards of several charities and companies, including KCTS 9/ Cascade Public Media, Beta na Beto Villages Partnership, the Bellevue College Foundation, Career Partners International, High 5 Software, and Pacific Financial Holdings. He is also a mentor and advisor to UW Foster School MBA candidates.

Before SparkEffect, Mike was CEO of Pacific Financial Holdings, where he raised funds and drove the company’s expansion from an early-stage venture to an eight-fold increase.

He holds an MBA in finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU and a BA in political science and journalism from the University of Washington.

In his free time, Mike enjoys skiing, playing soccer, or engaging in philanthropy. He is dedicated to working with organizations that focus on social justice, housing, global health, poverty alleviation, development, conservation, the environment, and education.
