Meet Kim Bohr, the President and COO of SparkEffect. Kim’s mission is to make business better from the inside out.
As a self-described student of business, Kim has spent her career avidly studying and participating in companies with complex people and organizational dynamics. Making an impact on businesses is important to Kim, and she stays inspired by the gratification that comes from unraveling challenging problems for individuals and companies. Her strong, strategic instincts, extensive experience, and the ability to create followership have shaped Kim into the leader she is today.
Kim is a published author, speaker, and entrepreneur at heart. To further her passion in leadership in business, Kim started The Innovare Group, a boutique strategic consultancy known for diagnosing and repairing organizational and leadership disconnects that impact strategy execution and business growth.
Before making her mark as an entrepreneur, Kim was the Executive Vice President of Operations for Fierce, Inc., a global leadership firm specializing in helping companies build more collaborative corporate cultures. While there, Kim was a key leader in bringing Fierce through various stages and complexities of growth to make it a valued partner that companies turn to solve their leadership and communication challenges.
In her current role, Kim focuses on leading SparkEffect and its exceptional teams, across its global reach. She brings over 25 years of experience as a cross-functional leader, executive and board advisor, leadership and organization development professional, and coach. Kim is also the host of SparkEffect’s leadership monthly podcast Courage to Advance (a subseries of The Empathy Edge podcast).
Kim holds a BS in Business Administration from UC Riverside and an International MBA from the University of Denver.
She is dedicated to improving the economic well-being, social conditions, and civil liberties of disadvantaged persons and groups in the United States. She has sat on the boards of and done work with the Dallas-based Susan G. Komen, Justice and Soul Foundation, and the Barbara McDowell and Gerald S. Hartman Foundation.
Kim lives in Seattle, WA with her husband Peter and son Jackson. She enjoys new adventures in travel, Italian food, and a good game of golf. She may also be found cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken Hockey teams.
